Schitt’s Creek Runs the Show at the 2020 Primetime Emmys

The Canadian sitcom Schitt’s Creek made history as it swept all four Emmys in the acting categories. Watchmen received a massive 26 nominations and won big as well.

The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards, which was held virtually on Sunday, wasn't thronged by celebrities and paparazzi as always. Jimmy Kimmel and Jennifer Aniston, the presenters, were the only ones allowed inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Watchmen and Succession won big at the event, but Schitt's Creek emerged as the star of the show, shattering the Emmys record for most wins in a single season for a comedy series.
